Chery Group continues to strengthen its global leadership in automotive innovation, supported by 8 R&D centers, 19 manufacturing bases, more than 300 international suppliers, and a global sales and service network of over 3,000 locations. In February this year, Chery became the first Chinese automaker to surpass 6 million cumulative exports, while overseas exports exceeded 100,000 units for 11 consecutive months. In March, exports reached 148,777 units, representing a 72% year-on-year increase.

The Group's international footprint continues to expand rapidly. In Europe, Chery Group is present in more than 18 markets, while across right-hand-drive markets globally, it operates in 14 markets with a growing share of new energy vehicles. In Thailand, the Group now has three brands in operation — OMODA & JAECOO, followed by CHERY, and most recently LEPAS — reflecting its confidence in the market's long-term potential.

Chery Group Leadership

The Thailand NEV factory is equipped with advanced manufacturing capabilities, including aluminum body welding processes, and has already entered the production stage. Looking ahead, Chery Group's five-year production ramp-up plan from 2026 to 2030 targets an annual manufacturing capacity of 80,000 units, reinforcing Thailand's role as a strategic manufacturing base for the Group's regional growth.

Chery Group Leadership

Mr. Cedric Cui, President, Chery Group (Thailand), said: “Our message in Thailand is simple: we are here to care, and here to stay. This means building not only vehicles, but also long-term confidence in parts availability, service quality, customer support, and people development.”

Chery Group Leadership

The Group's Thailand roadmap will be supported by a broad portfolio across its three brands. For CHERY, the strategy is centered on family-oriented consumers through both BEV and PHEV products. For OMODA and JAECOO, the Group is building two distinctive brand identities focused on crossover innovation and outdoor lifestyle leadership. For LEPAS, the brand will introduce a differentiated proposition centered on elegant mobility life. Together, these brands will create a broader and more dynamic mobility ecosystem for Thai consumers.

Chery Group Leadership

Beyond production, Chery Group is also placing strong emphasis on after-sales readiness and customer confidence under its “Here to Care” commitment. By the end of this year, the Group aims to expand service coverage across 90 showrooms, with 100% of technicians certified and trained, while targeting a spare parts fulfillment rate of 95% or above, a back-order rate of less than 5%, a one-day repair lead time for general repairs, a 98% first-time fix rate, and a customer satisfaction index above 98%.

Chery Group Leadership

Under its “Here to Stay” commitment, Chery Group is also investing in people development through long-term upskilling and reskilling initiatives for vocational students, university students, working professionals, and future talent in Thailand's xEV industry. These efforts will include scholarships, internships, student placements, and technical capability development.

With the official opening of the Thailand NEV factory, Chery Group, OMODA & JAECOO are entering a new chapter of localized manufacturing, innovation, and long-term partnership with Thailand.
